Elon Musk says that Neuralink is on the verge of being able to offer immortality. In what was initially considered an unserious post, Mr. Musk suggested, \u201cCould totally use Neuralink to reanimate president. DJT 2.0- smarter, faster, deadlier.\u201d A few minutes later he posted, \u201cNo problem if body also required. DJT 2.0 forever\u201d with a \u2018rock on\u2019 emoji. Asked to clarify what he meant by that, he said, \u201cConsciousness can be transferred. Easy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTotally,\u201d the tech billionaire confirmed in a live address on X. \u201cUm, like, yeah- we\u2019re there! Immortality!\u201d he shouted, pumping his pale, bloated fist in the air. He went on to explain that while the human shell has to die, consciousness can live on. \u201cIt simply needs a new shell and the means to transfer it. That\u2019s what we\u2019ve, um, accomplished.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He claims that Neuralink can be used to capture a person\u2019s consciousness and that it can then be transferred to a more reliable shell, such as Tesla\u2019s Optimus robot. \u201cLike, to live forever, you would simply need regular tune-ups. No doctors, no illness, no death.\u201d He did not answer whether he would be willing to try it himself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tesla\u2019s (TSLA) share price rose over 500% overnight in response to the announcement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
