Who we are

We’re a creative duo based in beautiful Alberta, Canada. We go by Bee and Shane, but you’re welcome to call us Julio and Barbra. 😉

What we do

We produce comedy across a variety of media. The News You Want podcast is a radio dramedy, the website features our writing and artwork, and our YouTube channel features our animations.

How we do it

All of the concepts, artwork, writing, voice acting(!), and sound engineering is done by us in our home studio. We use a variety of free or inexpensive tools for all of our projects. The rest is sheer grit and talent. 🤘

These are our most commonly used tools:

Affinity: For all of the vector drawings that we do.

DaVinci Fusion: For all of the animating.

Davinci Fairlight: For recording and all of the sound engineering.

Audacity: For some recording.

Samson: The microphones that we use for recording.

Gutenberg WordPress editor: For website design.

Proton: For documents, shared files, meetings, etc.

Why we do it

This world, amirite? First and foremost- we want to make people laugh. Laughter is such crucial medicine. It relaxes us and puts things in perspective, it reminds us of what joy feels like, and it empowers us.

And we don’t mind that it makes our targets cry- that feels important to us and makes each project special.
